Reginald White is a correctional officer with the South Carolina Department of Corrections. A native of Jasper County, he graduated from Ridgeland High School and then received vocational training in auto body at the Beaufort-Jasper Career Educational Center. From there, he worked in a body shop repairing and restoring damaged vehicles from 1985 until 1989 and then worked in several GM dealerships as a sales associate and parts manager. In 1995 he started his career with the South Carolina Department of Corrections, moving upward in rank and responsibilities. He is a Lieutenant recruiter for the agency now serving 27-plus years.
